Announced made by Ubisoft that Bayek, the prime protagonist for Assassin’s Creed Origins, is now presented as a legendary lieutenant for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. He’s offered as a Ubisoft Club reward and charges 40 Units.
The Lieutenants can be assigned to go sail with Kassandra/Alexios on the ship, the Adrestia. Assigned lieutenants offer certain advantages for naval combat, communicates to the Adrestia’s crew when the ship is docked, and join Kassandra/Alexios when boarding enemy vessels. The power of a lieutenant’s perks and the amount of damage they can do in combat is determined by their rarity. Legendary is the toughest level, tailed by Epic, Rare, and then Common.
Lieutenants can also attend additional purpose. In Odyssey’s skill tree–under the Stealth branch–there’s an skill called “Call to Arms.” This skill allows Kassandra/Alexios to call one of their lieutenants even though on land. At its weakest level, this skill will cause called lieutenants to distract enemies so Kassandra/Alexios stay undetected. At its robust, called lieutenants will slay enemies.
Bayek isn’t first protagonist from a prior Assassin’s Creed game to be an Odyssey lieutenant. Evie, one of the protagonists from Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, is also offered as a Ubisoft Club reward. She also is a legendary lieutenant, and she increases javelin damage by 9%, fire javelin damage by 15%, and–when the Adrestia has stumpy health–all damage by 18%. She uses a spear in combat. If you are upgrading Adrestia, you can allocate several lieutenants and sail with both Evie and Bayek.
